  • Product Description

Named, literally, for the act of scaling walls, the Clarks Escalade loafer is built for climbing the corporate ladder--as well as for getting out of the office--in comfort and style. Available in a buffed black or burnished brown finish, the top-grain leather upper has many distinctive features, including double seam details running asymmetrical along the outside of the shoe and a single crossed seam running over the instep. Contrast colored leather portions add texture to the overall appearance of the shoe, from the pull-tab at the top of the tongue to the two-tone patch over the rigid counter heel. A hidden gore center panel beneath the top of the vamp makes for easy entry, and the wave pattern polyurethane sole, Othrolite footbed, and padded ankle collar keep you sure-footed and very comfy.

Customer Reviews

  • January 26, 2010Love this shoe!

I love this model of Clarks (70845) shoe. I wear these as dress casual at work. I seem to wear out shoes 1.5 - 2 years. I love this shoe so much that I am now going to buy enough pairs while they are available to last me ten years or more. They are very comfortable right out of the box. They are durable. I've been wearing mine for almost a year now and they are holding up great. I never thought I would wear a loafer. But these do look good with dress slacks.

  • November 26, 2009Comfortable and durable

I bought these shoes about 2 years ago for work. There are still very comfortable and still looking good. I'd highly recommend them, particularly if you have to do a lot of walking around in your job.

  • March 28, 2009I own 3 pairs!

I bought my first pair two years ago at Macy's in Hawaii. I live and work in Seoul and rely on the subway to commute to my office. This shoe is very comfortable and very easy on the feet. I walk ten minutes to and from the subway station from my apartment and at the end of the day my feet are still happy! I purchased a second black pair and a brown pair last summer and my feet are very happy. These are my "Happy Shoes."

  • December 3, 2008Good all-purpose shoe.

I've had several pairs of very comfortable, long-lasting Clarks shoes. These are my favorites. They are soft and comfortable fresh from the box, and they have a surface that doesn't scuff easily. They provide good support in the arch. I find them comfortable for standing and walking around all day. As others have commented, they do run a little bit big. I usually wear a 14, but wear a 13 in these and most other Clarks shoes.

  • December 16, 2007Clarks Men's Escalade Slip-Ons

I bought these shoes for my 14 year old who wears a size 14. I wanted something a little stylish but comfortable. He really likes the style and he says they are really really comfortable. My only comment is that they run a little big, so I would order one size down. I should have ordered a size 13.

But as always, Clarks continue to be a great product.
